Annual neonatal cardiology event a success

Experts in neonatal cardiology and haemodynamics from across the world spoke at the trust’s eighth high profile NeoCard 2017 conference.

The two day event is held every year for neonatologists, paediatricians, paediatric cardiologists, paediatric intensivists, advanced neonatal nurse practitioners and neonatal nurses.

Prestigious speakers including professor Martin Kluckow from Sydney Australia and professor Patrick McNamara from Toronto Canada were invited along as well as experts from across Europe and the UK.

Topics included the diagnosis, controversies and management of patent ductus arteriosus by leading experts in the field.

Professor Samir Gupta, the conference director, said: “I’d like to thank all the speakers and delegates who attended another very successful conference this year.

“This was another excellent opportunity for people to listen and learn from some of the brightest minds in this field from across the world.”

Conference organisers were Dr David Crossland, Dr Majd Abu-Harb professor Jonathan Wyllie and professor Sunil Sinha and facilitators were Dr Sundaram Janakiraman, Dr Sajeev Job and Dr Prashant Mallya.
